The Guardian for USB
The Guardian for USB is our newest introduction to our product line. With this program, users of USB video input devices, such as a web cam, can now utilize their low cost web style camera to set up a video surveillance system to monitor their home or office. We also offer packaged video systems to aid you in obtaining a quality low cost video surveillance system with out of box ease with nothing more to buy to get you started.
The Guardian is an automated video image monitoring, recording, and detection system. The system utilizes Controlled Capture's video time-lapse technology to monitor the incoming video imagery. The imagery is tested by the program every user selected timed interval for a change between a reference image and the current image from the video camera. The system does nothing if the current image agrees with the reference image. If a change between the two images is sensed, the system begins recording imagery to the disk drive until the change detected is no longer there, or the user acknowledges, or resets, the system with a new reference image.
Like our higher end software and hardware products, Guardian for USB uses various user programmable timers to obtain time-lapse imagery. The Simple Timer utilizes a set time interval to acquire and save imagery. The versatile Calendar Timer is used for long period time-lapse studies. The Staggered and Interactive timers are used for special timing requirements. Guardian for USB also has a Snap image function for stop animation photography. As with our large packages, Guardian for USB includes our Bitmap File Player and BMP to AVI convertor.
Below are the several software and hardware options we offer for the Guardian for USB. We have put together several complete video system packages, including a wireless camera option, for out of box functionality. The wireless video package is excellent for video surveillance anywhere in your home or business and sends the video signal, to your computer and video monitor, up to 100 feet away, via the included 2.4 Ghz transmitter and receiver. No FCC license is required for the wireless camera system.
